The School of Engineering studies the frontline research in a broad field, from research in basic subjects such as physics and mathematics, to technical mechanics with applications in aeronautics and vehicle technology. The school operates and develops the Master of Science in Engineering, Physical Physics and Vehicle Technology, as well as the open program and several master programs.



The research group in financial mathematics in avd. for mathematical statistics at the Department of Mathematics, announces a two-year postdoctoral / research service. The work assignments are mainly research in portfolio choices or related topics. In the service a smaller amount of teaching may be included. The employment is linked to Boualem Djehiche as a mentor.


The employment is a fixed-term, two-year full-time employment as postdoctoral / researcher, starting no later than March 1, 2018.




We are looking for a candidate who has completed his PhD student in financial mathematics, mathematical statistics or adjoining subjects in the last three years. Doctoral degree is required and should have been received (or planned to be received before the start date of the service). The applicant should have a strong background in mathematics areas relevant to the group's research area. The applicant should be highly motivated, able to work independently, to cooperate with other members of the research group and to have good communication skills. Skills in Swedish are no requirement.
