The Department of Communications and Networking (COMNET) at the Aalto University School of Electrical Engineering is seeking to hire an outstanding individual with a MSc (or equivalent) for conducting research, as part of doctoral studies, on mobile cloud computing. The research topics include aspects related to mobile crowdsensing, mobile edge computing, and wearable computing. The position is full-time and funded. It will be initially filled for one year, with possible contract extension up to three more years, subject to performance evaluation. The starting date is negotiable.

Requirements
The eligible candidate should have:

• master’s degree (or equivalence) in electrical engineering, computer science, or in a related study with excellent results
• high motivation for research
• good programming skills,  preferable in multiple languages
• good written and oral communication skills in English and motivation to work in an international and cross-disciplinary team
• previous scientific publications are considered a plus 

Salary and Contract Terms
The expected starting salary is 2,200 €/month, and it will increase with performance over time. The contract includes occupational health and social security benefits. The starting date is negotiable.
